Satjendorf, ( Sartjendorf, former Sattekendorp) village 1 1/8 miles north of Lütjenburg, in the Estate Hohenfelde, parish Gikau. It contains 7 Vollhufen, 2 Drittelhufen, a small leasehold property and 49 Instenkathen. Improved Vollhufen (farms) are called Haferstoppel, Haffkamp and Rossbaum, a Kathe is named Sachskamp and 1 Fischerkathe at the Baltic Sea is named Hubertsberg. - School with 100 children. - Hostelry. - There is one smith and some other hand craftsmen. - Area: 609 Steuertonnen, under which 56 tons grasslands. The soil is mostly a good wheat soil.

Simonsberg, (Häkelkoog), a marshdistrict with a church. 1 mile southwesterly of Husum, district Simonsberg, abbacy Husum, province Husum. The here on these remainings of the ancients Lundenbergerharde existing 56 dwellings with and 11 dwellings without land (7 2/3 plows) lie in a length of ½ mile scattered at the seawalls. One easterly located house is being called Dreisprung (triplejump). Simonsberg forms an own district and had an own court. - Districtschool. - 4 hostelries, smiths and several hand craftsmen. Some residents nourish themself of the Fishery. - The oldest church was destroyed in the flood 1532, new churches were built 1545 and after this was bygone 1654. The in the year of 1717 altogether by flood destroyed parish Padeleck was belonging to the parish. The Church has been called therefore also the "Padelecker". After year 1717 led it always the name "Simonsberg". The todays church was built, after the old one had to be broken off 1828, in both the following 2 years more southernly. It lies on the seadike, is unvarnished, rather pretty and has a low tower. - The preacher is by the parish with kinglike permit elected. - Belonging to the parish: Dreisprung, Simonsberg. - The soil is slight marsh and at the western side sandily. The connotative coastline is being used as willow. Residents of the parish: 366.

Sonderburg,
(Sönderborg), town on the island Alsen, at Alsener Sund, which disconnects the island from land Sundewith. Province Sonderburg. The town lies at one hill. It´s not sure when the town and the near at hand located castle (the castle) was built. There are records that the castle was built for protection against the buccaneers soon after 1169. The castle is intended to has have stood before hand at Stavensbüll Föhrde (where now the castle Augustenburg is located). In the year of 1253 the castle and the thereby village for the first time in history was stated. It has been at that time by the king Christopher I. captured and he let break up the fortification . In the year of 1276 arrived here the swedish prince Magnus and concluded a compromise with the king Eric Klipping. In the wars between king Waldemar III and the earls von Holstein was in the year of 1358 Sonderburg captured. To intercession of the duchess Richiza moved off the troops. She has made the assurance that the Duke should get assistance from this castle during the duration of the war. In the year of 1410 besieged king Eric of pomerania the town and the castle but did not captured it. In the year of 1470 pledged king christian I. Sonderburg along with accessories against his wife queen Dorothea.
In the year of 1564 got the duke Johann von J Sonderburg. And it remained in the family as far as king Frederick III took up the bill of the pledged town. In the year of 1657 have been town and castle by sweden occupied and also in the following year was lying here the swedish colonel Aschberg with his Corps. The swedes have been driven out by the the Allies, which plundered the town. In the year of 1659 was the castle attacked again by the swedes, but had been strucked back with a bereavement of about 150 men. In the year of 1666 on 27th of november was a whole street burnt to ashes by a big fire, by which many resident became impoverished.
- The town has got a better reputation since year 1730 especially due to it`s beautiful location at Alsener-Sund and by a very seminally region of the island Alsen. In the east of the town there is a hill with several windmills which belongs to the parish Ulkebüll. From this hill there is a very beautiful view across the biggest part of the island. The town gets devided into three cantonments plus St Jürgensbye and has 540 houses. Thereof in St. Jürgensbye 148. Public places and streets are called: the Marktplatz ahead of the town hall and the so named Platz (Hopfenmarkt), the Perlenstraße by the tree to the ferry, the Süderstraße and the Norderstraße (Havboegade). Side-streets or so named Gyden are: Schlossstrasse, Kirchenstraße, Zollstrasse, Apfelstraße (Aeblegyde), Kesselschmiedestraße, St. Jürgenstraße and Lilienstraße. Since 1851 the streets are enlightend by lanterns . The town hall in the middle of of the town located is new built. A building in the city, which is located in the Perlenstraße at the market, was built by the Duke ernst Günther as residencecastle. This house was sold 1751 including some privileges
- In town is located the well-known former Bothmann'sche now Thomsen'sche art- and tradegarden.
- Number of resident: 3327. Among these there are hand craftsmen of various kinds, of which particularly the ship master builders distinguish. The merchants form a Compagnie. Already since 1681 form the skippers its own association, whose rules got on 12th march 1783 the kinglike confirmation. - The main lines of trade of the residents are additionally to the municipals business the commerce and the water-carriage, which now again is in burst into bloom. In the year of 1795 owned the town 67 vessels, according to Flensburg and Apenrade most within duchy. Now has the town still 49 vessels. Several new vessels lying still in the shipyard on the stack. The Sonderburger Förde can take liners and the two quays are able to dock 18 feet deep vessels. Sonderburg has three shipyards, where all the year round built new vessels and old ones will become repaired will. Here are 2 kinglike ferryboats for wagons across the Sund according to Dyppel on Sundewith. The town has the halfpart ferryrights for 505 Reichstaler annually leasehold. They intends to build now a Bridge across the Sund according to Sundewith to ease the traffic. A bridges- and harbourrule got 1778 the kinglike confirmation.
The town owns 1 pharmacy, 1 printing office, 2 lime-kilns, 1 iron foundry, 9 distillers, 2 bavarian and several other breweries, 6 tannerys. The two Sonderburger hereditary tenure mills belong to the abbacy Sonderburg, Süderharde. In addition here are 4 windmills, 2 steam-oilmills and one oil-windmill. - The magistrate consists of one mayor, who is at the same time townsecretary and townreeve and 3 aldermen. The abbacyman of the combined abbacys Apenrade and Sonderburg is civil servant of the town. The coat of arms of the town shows a water surrounded castle with three gates and a small tower.
- The first church (maybe a chapel) shall have been sited in the south of the town, between the Probsten house and the mill. The todays church (St. Marien) is located at the northerly end of the town and duke Johann has let it built new in 1594. It has a tower, is arced and has a very good organ. In recent years it got much improved. Remarkably is in the church, a the give out of the lord's supper constituting altar piece. In the year of 1817 became a new churchyard founded. The mainpreacher is appointed by the king. The second preacher, who preaches in danish language, is elected by the parish. - Belonging to the parish: Mölbye. - Beside the church is located the already in the year of 1307 mentioned St. Jürgens Hospital. By the varlets Peter Stoed have been given as a present to the Hospital following estates: Ulkeböl, Rottmarkskov, Sonderburg, Rakeböl and Dütteböl. In the year of 1437 confirmed the Duke Adolph the privileges of the Hospitals. In the year of 1465 have been established by the widowed queen Dorothea, to better supply of the poors, a vesting order about them finance of the Hospitals. It owns land on island Alsen and in Sundewith, namely: 1 Halbhufe in Dynth, 1 Vollhufe and 1 Kathe in Stenderup, 3 farms and 3 Instenstellen in Dyppel, 1 Kathe in Wollerup, 1 Stelle in Kjär, 2 Stellen in Ulkeböl, 1 Stelle in Stolbroe, also owns the Hospital 62 tons 6 bushel 23 Ruthen land near by of the town. There are in this place 12 Hospital inhabitants subsist, which additional to free habitation, firing and gardenland get some money. The administration of the Hospitals is achieved by the abbacyman, the magistrate and the Probst.
- Since some years is here a forced labour institution in existence. 1837 became a association founded for the support of went to seed kids. There is since 1820 a savings and loan bank. - There are 3 town schools, of which the two larger are called Caroline-Amalie- and Wilhelminen-school. - Kinglike civil servant are here: 1 housereeve and commander of the fire-brigade, an administrator , a custom-administrator, a Hardesreeve, 3 controllers and a postmaster. Also here are one physicist and 3 doctors. - In Sonderburg are three grocer markets upheld: on thursday after pentecost, on Laurentiusday and on the day after Michaelis, on 30th september. There are still 3 cattle markets, horse markets each tuesday in the lent, such as on 12th september. - The area amounts 65 tons a 260 quadrat Ruthen, each including 7 tons on island Sundewith. A Hospitalskoppel was by locals shop keepers and residents leasehold. It`s in parcels of land partitioned and given zto poors against a small leasehold.

Suederdeich, village in Norderdithmarschen, church province and parish Wesselburen. This well placed village, rich on trees, contains 13 farms, 28 houses with and 29 houses without land. - School (90 children). - There is a mill and an excellent garden. - Residents: 408 individuals, three host's, one butcher, one cabinetmaker, two carpenter, one cooper and many other craftsman. - Brick factory. - The village lies in early times outside of the sea dike. In the year 1521 Claus Hargens build a beautiful house, with a copper roof. On the wall around the house are cannons, on this place stored 700 Tonnen (*) grain every year. - Areal: 706 Morgen (*), 6 Scheffel (*), 14 Ruthen (*), (1099 Steuertonnen (*)). About the Suederdeicher=Außendeich look at Außendeich.

Suedfall, a small Halllig (*) in the West sea, belonging to the region of Pellworm, ½ mile (*) south-east of Pellworm, parish of Neue-Kirche. This Hallig was larger before the storm flood of 1634 in which 46 individuals lost their lives, but has suffered frequently thereafter in storms and floods. In 1825 the then existing 3 dwellings fell prey to the waves. Now a building has been reconstructed here. Area: 341 Steuertonnen (*).
Suedhoern, three plots and one building, 2 miles (*) south-west of Tondern, district of Tondern, admin. district of Wiedingharde, parish and school district of Klanxbuell. – The soil is marshy but not of very good quality.
Suedmarsch, a former church in the admin. District of Wiedrichsharde, on the former island of Nordstrand which is said to have been submerged in the flood of 1362.

Suederstapel, church village on the River Eider, with a ferry landing, in the region of Stapelholm. 1¼ miles (*) south-east of Friedrichstadt, jurisdiction of Huetten.
The name of “Stapel” is said to be based on the belief that the British maintained a storage (Stapel) area here. The village comprises, besides the preacher’s and custodian’s dwelling 82 1/1 Staven (*). Two ¾ plots and five ½ plots, i.e. plots the grounds of which cannot be sold; furthermore, eight cottages, sixteen day labourers’ lots [6 Pfluege (*)]. Among the Staven two are abandoned ones. Residents of Suederstapel are, amongst others, the county governor, the county scribe, the physician, a controller, 7 pub owners, 2 traders, 3 bakers, 2 blacksmiths, 3 shipwrights, 2 skippers, 4 fishermen and several craftsmen and professionals. Brick yard.- All residences are built rather close together, except for the dwelling of the miller, the one of the supervisor of the locks and the pub at the so-called Ervderdamm.
The more stately houses are located at the market place where formerly property rights and jurisdictions were adjudicated. There is a pharmacy in the village. – The main school has 2 grades. – Poor house. – Prison. – The two local grain and peeled grain mills used to report to the superior court. – Flee and cattle markets on April 22nd. and October 6th.
A rifle guild was endowed in 1588 and a property guild in 1446. – The former church was torched in 1402 by the Dithmarschen forces; the current one, not vaulted except for the vestry, is built of field stones and has on one side a rather high steeple; next to the church is a bell tower. The altar, the pulpit and the baptismal fountain bear evidence of antiquity. The pipe organ dates from 1800. Besides the main altar there used to be the altar: “Our Dear Ladies”, a vicar was employed. – The king nominates the preacher. – The parish comprises: Bohmlanderkoog, Deljerkoog, Drage, Frahmshof, Goschenfaehre, Gooshof, Henningshof, Holmershof, Koenigsteinerhof, Mildterkoog, Mildthof, Naeulandshof, Norderfelderhof, Norderstapel, Oldenfelderkoog, Oldenkoog (2 Hufen (*), Osterfelderkoog, Osterkoog, Schlickkoog, Seeth, Spaethgen, Steinschleuse, Suederfelderkoog, Suederstapel, Westerkoog, Ziegelhof. – Area: 1,634 Steuertonnen (*). – The field mark of the village comprises high land, two Koogs (*), viz the Eastern and Western koog and the so-called Nordmoor (northern bog). North of the village are 4 funeral mounds called the Wollenberge. A fortification used to be near these mounds; furthermore, during the last war several fortifications were erected along the way to Seth. Skirmish on September 8th., 1850. –
Census of the parish: 2,793 individuals; of the village: 840 individuals.
